Addictions
Everywhere in the world people are faced with all kinds of addictions: drugs, alcohol, pornography, over-eating, under-eating, and many others. These addictions can control a person's entire life. Why is it that the human mind and body are so weak? Why can't we all just have the self-control to say NO!!! I have never struggled with any of the above mentioned addictions but I have struggled with the addiction of procrastination. I can't ever seem to make myself do something when it needs to be done. I have to wait until someone gets mad at me for not doing it. For example, I don't have a full-time job anymore other than staying home with Kayden. Jonathan works all the time and yet I can't manage to keep the house clean because I'm preoccupied with playing solitaire, messing around on Facebook, or other useless activities. Then he comes home and gets frustrated with me because I haven't kept my part of the bargain. If I stay home I keep the house clean while he works to provide us with what we need. Every time this happens I tell myself its the last time and I will do better, but the next week comes and I do the same thing again! If all the people in the world that are struggling with the addictions I mentioned have as hard of a time with their addictions as I do with procrastinating then I really can understand why our world is so messed up! I don't know if this makes any sense whatsoever but I was just thinking about this and had to vent a little. But now I am going to actually stop talking about my problem and go start trying to fix it.

Us.......
Hello whoever is reading this!
I've been told I need to blog, but I have absolutely no idea what to say so I guess I will just introduce you to the Larsens!
My name is Ashley Larsen. I am 22 years old and already have a beautiful family. I love reading and cross-stitching and just spending time with my wonderful husband Jonathan and my adorable baby Kayden. I am a stay-at-home mom and love every minute of it. I am also an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. I have been a consultant for almost 3 years but have just recently started doing more with the business. It is a great business and I am enjoying being a part of it. I love being able to help women feel great about themselves through teaching them about ways to have healthy skin and make themselves feel beautiful through the great makeup and color product Mary Kay has to offer. Before I had Kayden, I worked for Smith's Food and Drug as a Pharmacy Technician. I loved being a tech but am so glad that I don't have to work away from home anymore.
My husband's name is Jonathan Reed Larsen and he is so amazing! He will be 27 in May. I keep teasing him that he is an old man. He loves working on cars and anything that has an engine. He also loves finding good deals and turning them in to an investment. Sometimes it doesn't always turn out like we plan but at least we are learning as we go. He works for Fed Ex Ground as a delivery driver and loves his job. It may not be the highest paying job in the world but he enjoys it, loves his boss and we are making ends meet so that makes it all worth it. He is a great husband and a wonderful father and loves me and Kayden very much. He has a strong testimony of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and is doing his best to live a good life. I am proud of him and Love him so much!
We will be married for 3 years on May 30th. It has been a great 3 years and I am looking forward to the eternity we have to spend together. We met at a Single's ward FHE and hit it off right away. We were engaged after a month of dating and married 2 months after that. There have been good times and bad times but we know that if we work together anything is possible. :)
Now to talk about my pride and joy. My son Kayden is 3 months old and loves being in this new place. He smiles and laughs and anyone who will talk to him. He is getting so strong and is almost able to roll over. He is a great sleeper! At 2 months he started sleeping 10-12 hours a night. It has been amazing. He is so happy when he wakes up. Sometimes I will just turn on the light and lay him on his back and he laughs and smiles for about 15 minutes until he realizes he is hungry. I can't believe how much he has grown. He went from 7 lbs at birth to 12.7 lbs at 2 months. He loves to eat and it shows! I can't believe how much he has changed my life. I look at him and can't help but smile. He makes even the worst days better just by being here. He has the sweetest little spirit and personality and I am so blessed to be the one to raise him. I hope I can do a good job and I hope he knows how much I love him.
Well, that's us. We are a little family that is growing and progressing daily. We are doing the very best we can in everything we do. Of course we make mistakes and there are problems but we always learn from them. I am excited for this next chapter in our lives.
Thanks for reading!
